Feature & Follow Friday #3 (#166)

The Feature & Follow hop is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The aim is for book bloggers to meet other book bloggers and garner followers :D

So I think it's the 166th actual Feature & Follow but it's only the 3rd one for me - I hope that explains the post title :D

And eeeep this week I'm the featured blogger yay :DDD

This week's question:

It is up to you to do a Kickstarter campaign for your favourite book!!! Who are you casting for the main characters?

Woahhhhh this is a really hard one. I have so many favourite books and taking a real person (even if they are a really good actor/actress) and making them fit into the mold of a much-loved character I've created in my mind is really hard to do - the film version isn't how they're always pictured and expectations not necessarily met. But here goes...

I'm going to choose Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas because Crown of Midnight (the sequel) is thus far my favourite book of 2013.

Main characters -

Celaena Sardothien

Celaena Sardothien: I would pick Jemima West as Celaena. After seeing her play Isabelle Lightwood in City of Bones I know she can be so badass and would pull off the assassin role nicely! She's also extremely pretty and her elvin features really make me think of Celaena.

Chaol Westfall

Chaol Westfall: even though he's not a actor, model Sean O'Pry is so smoking hot I envision him for quite a lot of male MCs. Chaol Westfall is definitely one of them. He's got the slightly rugged look that would fit Chaol's Captain of the Guard image, but also underneath, a refined edge that would be Chaol's aristocratic lineage.

Dorian Havilliard

Dorian Havilliard: I'm thinking Chase Crawford because he's got that playful nature that Dorian has - I always see the kiddish side of Dorian that hasn't quite grown up yet. But Chase can also pull off the princely/regal look *nods*

Ok yup I think that would be my dream cast for Throne of Glass :D

What would be your favourite book > movie dream cast?

If you want to follow me, I prefer Bloglovin (link on my sidebar) but email and GFC/Google+ is cool too - all links are on my sidebar (:

    1. Thank you Brenda :D it's taken me ages to think of who I wanted as Celaena because I keep picturing the girl on the UK/Aus covers but she's a tad scary and not as pretty as Maas described. So when I saw Jemima West in CoB I was like WOAH so badass and then I looked up more pics and she's naturally blonde (I think) and I was like omgggg Celaena <3

Eeeeep *hugs* thanks yes that's my own personal book collection and those are my favourites - which I need to update with some latest favourites :3

    1. Hrmmm I was trying to think of an actor who's ruggedly handsome and slightly broody but on the young side for Chaol and couldn't come up with anybody! Sean O'Pry was the closest in age that I could find (he's 24 and Chaol's just turned 23 in Crown of Midnight :o)
