Today I can finally introduce my new blog feature: A Series in Graphs! I have been working on this feature for MONTHS deliberating the best way to do this, what to show you guys etc. etc. But it's here yay. If you've read my 2015 goals post, this is the secret feature I was working on.
Basically this feature summarises a whole series (usually a trilogy) in the form of graphs/charts so you can get the jist of my opinion of a series without reading a whole review. I hope that this not only tells you what I thought of the series, but also gives you an inkling into whether you'd like to check out the books if you haven't (:
If you have any questions about the graphs or want me to add anymore, comment below.
The first series I'll be covering is: Legend by Marie Lu
Legend is a dystopian series that I absolutely adored! The plot was fast-paced, and I loved the story and characters. June and Day were both so conflicted which made the story so gripping and filled with feels and angst.
Legend synopsis:
"What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem. From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets."
OH THIS IS SO COOL! What a great idea! It definitely gives a fabulous quick but awesome overview of how much you liked it. Kind of inspires me to pick up the series again. ;-) I get so distracted, gah, and I only ever read Legend.
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely continue with the series Cait it's so fast-paced and intense.
